- Bill Self is 18-8 vs. the bluebloods (Kentucky, UNC, UCLA, Duke) at Kansas. He's 296-16 at home. He's won 16 Big 12 titles in 19 years. He's made 4 Final Fours. He's won 2 national titles, which ties the most of any active coach. He's the best coach in the country. Case closed.
- The reason the NCAA tournament is so good is because of stories like this year’s K-State team. Jerome Tang waiting 20 years to be a coach. Keyontae Johnson’s amazing comeback. Markquis Nowell being a wizard. You don’t have to like it, but you’ve got to acknowledge it.
- Texas Tech fans have been in my mentions all tournament with positive comments - they deserve a big shoutout for how gracious and congratulatory they’ve been to Kansas and Kansas fans. Laughing at Chris Beard brings all Big 12 fans together! Props and thanks for the kind words!
- Hard not to be happy for K-State. Those fans have been waiting for something like this for awhile and with a coach like Tang and guys like Johnson and Nowell, it’s hard not to be happy for their success. They’re a likable bunch. Also never hurts to see Calipari get bounced.
- There will be a new banner on the north wall at Allen Fieldhouse next season. And it will read "NATIONAL CHAMPIONS - 2022."
- Tonight is the final time you’re going to watch Ochai Agbaji, David McCormack, Mitch Lightfoot, and Remy Martin play basketball for Kansas. Quite possibly Jalen Wilson and Christian Braun, too. Soak up every second. What an incredible season this team has given their fanbase!
- Bill Self now 5-0 against UNC and 5-2 against Duke in his tenure at Kansas. Also 4-0 vs. Michigan State and 6-2 vs. Kentucky over the last decade. No doubt who college basketball's bluest blood is.

- Immediately after this game, KJ Adams will fly home to Texas for his mom's celebration of life tomorrow. What an unbelievable, heart-of-a-champion performance by him tonight.

- Kelvin Sampson deserves a ring. I hope he gets it on Monday. I certainly wouldn’t bet against ‘em. All week long, people talked about Duke and Duke alone - and not the Houston team that’s now 31-1 in their last 32 games. Quiet and disrespected. And they got the last laugh.
- I don’t know how you can’t be impressed with Texas Tech. They are tough, gritty, fast, and play a brilliantly fun style of basketball. Simply put, they’re just better. McCasland has done a tremendous job and I hope they do worlds of damage in the NCAAs.
