It's amazing how many of Luka's playoff series end with the other team in complete shambles. Some of them never really recover.

- One thing I’ve realized over the last few days: The Luka trade is so bad it basically requires you to create entire alternate realities to even try to justify it. So many dumb things happen in the NBA all the time, but we don’t even have the hardware to handle this one.
- There are no basketball gods.
- After seven years and change, next week will be my last at Sports Illustrated. I'm thrilled to be joining the top-notch staff at The Ringer (@ringer).
- The NBA in 2019: Giannis is guarding Rubio who is guarding Middleton who is guarding Mitchell who is guarding Ilyasova who is guarding Ingles who is guarding Mirotic who is guarding Favors who is guarding Lopez who is guarding Gobert who is guarding Giannis.
- The Pacers are just ridiculous. A next-next-next-next man up kind of team.
- Nobody does it like Steph. The whole league spent the better part of a decade trying to imitate the way he plays and look for the next version of him, and nothing has ever come close.
- I think we finally figured out what the All-Star Game needed: More Kyle Lowry.
- After four games (and a 3-1 lead), Anthony Edwards has just six total turnovers. Unreal.
- Any sports arena built with public funds or tax concessions should be offering real civic value. Turning them into polling places is a good start, but these are massive, multifunctional buildings that could be used for all kinds of public resources.
- Kawhi Leonard and Pascal Siakam just scored 74 points on 38 shots. Good luck with that.
- I don’t know how else to recommend this Brian Phillips piece other than to say that it changed the way I think about Kobe Bryant:
- Let’s just say it plainly: The Pacers are the best comeback team in NBA playoff history. I don’t think there’s even a debate.
