    Two people have been charged in what likely is the largest seizure of carfentanil in Riv Co. If mixed w/other drugs, the 21 kilos seized as part of an investigation by @RiversidePolice, had the potential to kill at least 50 million people. News release: bit.ly/3i2iTRD

    Jurors have determined that John Hernandez Felix should be sentenced to death for the 2016 murders of @PalmSpringsPD Officers Jose “Gil” Vega and Lesley Zerebny. The judge will render the sentence at a later date.

    We amended the charges against a man accused of shooting Rylee Goodrich, 18, & Anthony Barajas, 19, in a movie theater after Barajas died on July 31. Joseph Jimenez is now charged w/2 counts of murder & a special circumstance of multiple murders. His next court date is Sept. 27.

    #Sentencing is expected this morning in an Indio courtroom for the man convicted of murdering @PalmSpringsPD police Officers Jose ‘Gil' Vega and Lesley Zerebny. John Felix faces the death penalty. We will provide updates here when available.

    We filed charges in the case of 2 people shot in a Corona movie theater. In a collaborative effort btwn @CoronaPD, @RSO, & the Riv Co Gang Impact Team, which is led by our Bureau of Investigation, Joseph Jimenez was arrested earlier this week. More info: bit.ly/2VpRxwE

    Angel Olivo, a senior at @coronahigh was at risk of not graduating. He is interested in becoming a police officer, so our Dep DA Carlos Corona told him if he graduated, he would arrange a meeting with @CoronaPD's Special Response Team. He graduated & got that meeting. Thanks CPD!

    Having to testify can be intimidating for adults, imagine how overwhelming it would be to a child! Raider, the comfort dog, showed some children the proper way to sit in the witness stand. Raider is a Labrador that came to @CoronaPD as a highly trained service dog from @ccicanine
