Today we unveiled a commemorative Ride On bus celebrating our shared history.
Look for it on the road all summer!
All Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) buses will have free bottles of water available for our customers during this heat wave.

All Ride On buses have bottles of water available for our customers during this heat wave, as necessary until the event has passed.
Ride On has made available multiple buses for cooling as needed if there are crowds at the cooling centers and as well during F&R events. Be Safe

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Precautions: For your safety we are cleaning the inside (all exposed surfaces, including steering wheel, fareboxes, poles, etc.) of the buses every night with a concentrated, multi-purpose, hospital grade , germicidal detergent, antiviral solution.
Effective immediately, ALL Federal Government Workers will be allowed to ride Ride On free of charge with a valid federal government employee ID until further notice.
On Saturday and Sunday, June 22-23, MCDOT Ride On will be providing cooling buses to beat the heat at multiple locations around the County. Water bottles will be available and air conditioning turned on. bit.ly/4evFMsr
Due to the code red air quality alert, Ride On fares will be FREE today, Thursday, June 8. Experts recommend limiting time outdoors and wearing N-95 masks to protect yourself from the thick smoke. Stay safe out there riders!
Ride On is providing a FREE shuttle service every 15 minutes from 8am to 5pm between Shady Grove Metro Station - Bus Bay H & Montgomery College Germantown Campus Vaccination Site - Bioscience Education Center.
Effective July 1st: Kids Ride Free (K-12 county residents) will be every day all day on Ride On. Show your school ID or Youth Cruiser SmarTrip Card to the bus operator.
Ride On will continue free service on all Ride On, Ride On extRa and Flash buses through at least June 30th, but front-door boarding will resume Monday, April 5th.
We are still providing free fares on all Ride On buses, Ride On extRa and the Flash through September. Please continue to wear your face coverings for the duration of your trips.
