- I can attest from my professional life that the scale of this is mind boggling. I don’t think it’s registered broadly enough with voters.Right now, we are delivering America's largest infrastructure investment in generations. Over 60,000 projects are moving forward—in communities of all sizes across America.
- Pleased to report that, in Newport, RI, many yachts are flying Biden flags. I saw NO Trump flags. In “season,” Newport is normally a GOP bastion. Change is coming.
- Friend of mine, retired NY real estate guy, had a tough court battle with Trump many years ago. Roy Cohn represented Trump. At a key point, Cohn came to my friend and threatened to have my friend’s young son kidnapped if my friend didn’t give up. My friend fought on and won.
- Thread. A cautionary thought: the GOP can read polls. They *know* that a solid majority of Americans intensely oppose them on abortion, gun control and insurrection (to name but a few). They know these are big losers, in national electoral terms. Yet they persist.
- To those West Wing staffers who pushed the Tulsa trip as a mood elevator for their angry, despondent boss: How’s it lookin’, fellas ?
- I paused over this. These men were once very close. I recall the video of Graham wiping tears while saying Biden was one of the best men God ever made. Graham’s is a tragic story, whatever the details turn out to be.Look who showed up to greet President Biden in South Carolina. 🤢
- Public rage over the Trump administration's response to CV-19 is at an early stage. It will escalate dramatically.
- Trump’s panic is multi-faceted. Hearing from a good source that internal WH polling shows Trump’s reelection chances have evaporated and the campaign is now Mission Impossible. Staff know it’s over.
- I asked a retired general, still very plugged in, for his take on Hegseth’s jamboree: “H. wants to strut & preach about “warrior focus” and “anti-woke” to an audience of professionals. He’s viewed as a poseur and a clown. This stunt only reinforces that perception in the ranks.”
- Former Justice Kennedy has a story to tell. I’d like to hear it.
- When Harris announces her choice for VP, please consider your response carefully. Unity is vital and second guessing will be unhelpful.
- Prediction: the day after the election is finally declared for Biden, a dam will breaak and we’ll be inundated with insiders’ accounts of Trump malfeasance throughout the government. The transition will need an entire team just to log and track these reports. @JoeBiden
- The life long shunning of Trump by Manhattan elites is one of the deepest psychic wounds he carries. A similar national shunning is his greatest fear. I believe it’s coming.
