RIBCA would like to extend its deepest condolences to the Mazzulla family after hearing about the passing of long time Johnston High School's girls and boys basketball head coach Dan Mazzulla earlier today. He will be sorely missed by all.

- RIBCA is excited to announce its newest member to the RIBCA Hall of Fame, Jim Psaras of Rogers HS. Coach Psaras coached for 28 years, 26 of them as varsity head coach for the Vikings. 3 state titles, 12 league titles, 13x Coach of the Year & 421 wins. Congrats Coach Psaras!
- Ernie DiGregorio had an incredible senior year for North Providence HS, 1967-1968. Set single game record with 53 points vs North Kingstown on January 26th. Set single season scoring record as well with 767 points and he led the Cougars to the Class B State Title!
- Congratulations to the 2023 John Wooden Legacy Award winner for Rhode Island High School Boys Basketball Steve DeMeo! Coach DeMeo was the long-time head coach of both Johnston HS and Shea HS, ending his coaching career last season winning the Division 2 championship with Shea HS!
- 2020 Rhode Island Basketball Coaches Association Courageous Award - Ryan Bonneau, Barrington We have included the letter that was submitted to the RIBCA Executive Board by his teammate Will Rywolt detailing his incredible journey.
- Congratulations to former East Greenwich head coach Donnie Bowen on being selected as the 2021 John Wooden Legacy Award recipient for Rhode Island. 2021 season was his last season as head coach, he is an EG graduate, had been involved as a coach since 1979, winning 2 state titles
