The day I found out my mum was an aspiring reggae singer and math whiz who gave all that up because she found God and my dad in her late teens, I cried.
She could have been so much more. So much more.
Many Nigerians, especially mothers, become parents and give up their personality to raise kids. Many people never really meet the "person" in their parents. It's a sad reality.
