- I echo the @StateDept call for a full investigation of election interference and fraud in Pakistan. Now is the time for the international community to stand on the side of the people of Pakistan. We cannot recognize a new government until it is clear that democracy has prevailed.
- I can confirm that members of Congress have access to sensitive information that can sway the markets, which is exactly why members (and our spouses) shouldn’t be allowed to buy or trade stocks. I’m backing the TRUST in Congress Act to ban this kind of corruption.
- Proud to co-lead this effort with @RepCasar. The United States and the international community must make clear that we stand with the people of Pakistan, not with the forces subverting democracy.
- Last night, we passed H.Res.901, which supports human rights & democracy in Pakistan, including free & fair elections. I’m proud to cosponsor this bill, and I’ll continue standing in solidarity with the Pakistani people in the face of ongoing repression & political imprisonment.
- My statement on the escalating crisis in Pakistan:
- It’s very clear: the American people overwhelmingly support Roe v. Wade. I will fight tooth and nail to protect access to reproductive health care, and I am proud today to cast my vote in favor of choice. #WHPA
- In 2019, my partner, Kerry, died by suicide. It changed the course of my life. Ending the mental health stigma wasn't originally part of my agenda in Congress, but I'm a big believer that you follow the path life leads you on.
- Yep. Three years and counting. I’m not giving up until we give Americans the lower drug prices they deserve.
- I‘m sharing the story of my recent loss because we need to recognize that mental health issues know no boundaries. Behind the statistics are grieving partners and spouses, parents and children, siblings and friends. We must act - removing the stigma cannot just be a slogan.
