Today’s Ed and Workforce hearing tried to weaponize inclusive policies that simply give kids—disabled, marginalized, and queer kids—a fair shot. These policies work to reverse systemic discrimination and meet the needs of all students. Why are my colleagues so against that?

Last night, House Republicans handed ICE and CBP billions more while families struggle to afford rent, groceries, child care, and healthcare. Congress shouldn't be writing blank checks for cruelty while everyday people are being crushed by rising costs. I voted no.

A man at Moshannon spoke out about abuse & neglect. ICE and GEO threw him in solitary, cut him off & transferred him. This is retaliation. It’s how Trump punishes dissent, silences the truth & disappears detainees. Shut ICE down. Shut Moshannon down.

Today, I asked the NLRB Chairman if he’d oppose a White House liaison at the agency. He affirmed his belief that the NLRB is an independent agency and said he’d have no option to oppose White House interference “other than to resign. The NLRB must remain an independent agency.

When @RepDeluzio and I conducted oversight at Moshannon Valley Detention Center, a woman told me she was sexually assaulted. Another had no idea the status of her pregnancy because she’d been denied medical care. That is the reality of detainees. Moshannon must be shut down.
