    I was horrified to learn that Penn Police violently raided the home of pro-Palestinian student organizers early Friday morning, as they were sleeping. It is unacceptable that officers armed with tactical gear and assault rifles threatened the safety of unarmed young people.

    I am proud to oppose the 76ers arena proposal in Center City, which poses an existential threat to Chinatown. No matter how the billionaire owners of the 76ers try to lobby, threaten and bully, working families have a right to stay in their homes.

    BREAKING!! Right now the House is railroading through a resolution, written just hours ago, that finds DA Larry Krasner in Contempt of the House. This is in violation of House Rules. We know this isn’t about keeping our communities safe — This is political theatrics.

    I am extremely frustrated and shocked that today the University of Pennsylvania decided to employ a militarized police force to clear the Gaza Solidarity Encampment. @CouncilmemberJG and I will always support the rights of our constituents to protest.

    This is absolutely unacceptable. We cannot allow another police officer to murder a Philadelphian without legal consequences. Eddie Irizarry should be alive today and his family deserves justice.

    No matter what billionaires like Jeff Yass and Jay-Z say, school voucher programs have no place in Pennsylvania. We must send billions of state dollars to our public schools which serve working class students and their families. Public dollars belong in public schools!

    Today the House unanimously passed HB140, a bill I co-sponsored to ensure bike lanes are clear and safe for riders. My bicycle is my main source of transportation. I know firsthand how unsafe bike lanes can be when cars block the lanes and push riders into traffic.
