I caught up with students from Platte‑Geddes outside the Capitol this week. It was great to chat with them and answer a few questions about what’s happening in Congress.
South Dakota's lone U.S. Representative - husband, father, & proud South Dakotan. Member of @HouseAgGOP, @TransportGOP & @ChinaSelect.
- The federal government loses an estimated $233 billion to $521 billion to fraud every year. This is unacceptable. I voted to pass several common-sense bills to stop fraud in government programs because every taxpayer dollar matters.
- I found some Bulldogs in the Capitol today! Madison Middle School’s 8th graders are in D.C. this week. I had a great time chatting with them during their visit.
- Congratulations to Mark Cruz on his nomination for Director of the Indian Health Service. Mark has strong ties to South Dakota’s tribal leaders and volunteered with Teach for America at Rosebud. He will lead IHS well and improve health care for Native communities across South
