I’ll forever be grateful for the honor of representing Washington's 6th Congressional District - where I was born and raised - in the U.S. House of Representatives. Today, I gave my final remarks from the House floor - watch at the link below:

The incidents of obstruction of justice cited in the Mueller report are too serious to be dismissed based on politics, party biases, or the fear of a predicted outcome. I support the House of Representatives beginning an impeachment inquiry into President Trump. Full statement:

As Americans confront the ongoing challenges brought on by the pandemic, this week House Democrats passed another bill to deliver desperately-needed relief. Our communities shouldn’t have to wait any longer.

The president is manifestly unfit for office. I believe that the Vice President and cabinet should invoke the 25th amendment. Full statement:

100 days ago the House passed the #HeroesAct to deliver assistance to our frontline workers, provide further direct help to families, invest in our testing capacity, and support local communities. We need the Senate to step-up and get folks the help they need! #FamiliesFirst

It has been one of the great honors of my life to serve as the Representative for Washington's 6th District in Congress. I’m proud of what we have accomplished – but it is time for the next chapter. I will not seek re-election in 2024. Read my full statement here:

We need to protect the health and financial security of our communities during #coronavirus. That’s why Democrats ensured that the emergency coronavirus response bill included $7 billion in low-interest @SBAgov loans to small businesses struggling because of this epidemic.

I share the position of Washington State voters and believe that we should permanently move to DST. That's why I'm proud to co-sponsor the Daylight Act, which would allow states to elect to observe DST for the duration of the year. Congress should act.

.@SecretaryPete is right – the speaker needs to honor the Bipartisan Budget Agreement he negotiated earlier this year. Federal workers aren’t political chess pieces; they’re our neighbors, friends, and dedicated workers who perform essential functions in communities nationwide.
A government shutdown would undermine the safety and well-being of every American family. House Republicans need to honor the deal they made earlier this year, and keep the government open.

Today the House passed the @ModernizeCmte's bipartisan package of recommendations to get Congress working better for the American people. They will increase responsiveness, transparency, and accessibility for all Americans - and I’m hopeful there will be more to come.

Today 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities were indicted for buying online political ads in an attempt to influence how you vote. Congress should shine a light on the political ads Americans see online by passing the #HonestAds Act.
