Mr. President, I go home to my district daily. Each morning, I wake up, and I go and fight for my neighbors. It is my constitutional duty to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch. But, it is my moral duty to fight for my constituents.

I'm begging the American people to pay attention to what is going on. Because if you want to have a democracy intact for your children, and your children's children, and generations yet unborn we've got to guard this moment…this is our watch.

The baseless GOP attacks against @RepAdamSchiff are beneath the dignity of the House. They damage this institution & degrade our ability to serve as an INDEPENDENT check on the executive branch. @RepAdamSchiff, thank you for tirelessly protecting our democracy. #IStandWithSchiff

.@realDonaldTrump: I call on you to issue an apology to @SenGillibrand immediately, take down this tweet, halt your efforts to silence women who speak out, and stop degrading the Office of the Presidency.”
Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!

Transparency is the foundation of our democracy. The ENTIRE Mueller Report must be made public. The American people deserve nothing less. #ReleaseTheReport

This is a grave and solemn moment for our country. #POTUS, from the WH lawn, is openly calling on foreign powers to smear his political rival. I urge my GOP colleagues to join us and save our democracy. History will commend us, and future generations will be the beneficiaries.

Mr. President, it's completely disrespectful to call @SpeakerPelosi names while on the hallowed grounds of Normandy. These political attacks were not only disrespectful, but they were wrong. The memory of America’s heroes deserve better—our country must be better than this.

I am humbled and honored to be the next Chairman of the primary investigative body of Congress.

Mr. President, it is beneath you and the office of the presidency to call any woman a dog. It is degrading and demeaning, and I pray that you will stop this vulgar behavior. Our country is better than this.

Dr. Ford passed a lie detector test and asked for an FBI investigation. Will Judge Kavanaugh do the same?

When the history books are written about this tumultuous era, I want them to show that I was among those in the House of Representatives who stood up to lawlessness and tyranny. Read my statement supporting impeachment: oversight.house.gov/news/press-rel…

Mr. President, it is beneath the office of the presidency to tell Members of Congress to “go back” to their countries. These xenophobic comments will only divide our nation. America has always been at its best when we understand that diversity is our promise—not our problem.
