- I have been watching Liverpool for 48 years. Season ticket holder for 35. I don’t think I have seen a player with more natural skill on the ball in all that time than Thiago Alcantara. It’s a bloody privilege to watch that guy, week in week out.
- Sat in pub before train home still trying to work out why Liverpool had more yellows than City and how serial card avoider Fernandinho was on the pitch at the end.
- Hilarious on Sky. “Can you give me your player if the match.” “I’m gonna give it to Callum Wilson. He hasn’t been the best player on the pitch but I will give it to him”. Blimey if you can’t understand how a player of the match award works, how are you with the laws of footy?
- Pundits on BT Sport have written off Liverpool now Virgil is out. No consideration for how Thiago, Jota and a settled in Minamino have strengthened other areas. Love it. Long may this underestimation continue.

- Even more ridiculous that this caused an significant enough injury to Nunez and it was given as a Newcastle free kick. The referee screwed up. The commentator was clueless. Ah the Premier League.Newcastle got a free kick for this, and no one on commentary questioned it?

- Went to Sheffield today to pay my respects. Left flowers at the memorial & at the exact spot on the Leppings Lane end where I spotted my dad after we had been split up entering Pen 4. Dad died last year so first anniversary without him. Thanks to Paul & Alan of @swfc for support!
- Put simply, if the @FA choose to keep the Liverpool v City semi final at Wembley in the full knowledge that there are no trains, they are confirming once and for all that £ is more important than supporters. It’s utterly brainless not to play the semi at OT.
