More than ten percent of the women held in Limerick Prison are male. Any woman who complains is locked in her cell. This is a human rights violation.
For anyone who missed it…. Excellent podcast by @paddyjogorman about the inmates of Limerick prison. Lianne’s testimony about men in the female wing is particularly compelling. Listen now. #LimerickPrison #KeepPrisonsSingleSex

They can’t define what it is to be a woman because they know they aren’t allowed to. I see scared young women and I’m so sad for them.
If mental gymnastics was a sport, these women would get a gold medal… 😬

Something has gone very wrong at the BBC. Roisin Murphy is at the top of her game, an award winning acclaimed British artist with a current chart topping album. And yet the BBC doesn't want to acknowledge she exists. mol.im/a/12510045 via @DailyMailCeleb

BBC sympathy clearly lies with the man accused of sexual harassment. For 3 days they have reported on Sandie Peggie’s claim from his perspective.

What kind of person reads about a kid being bullied and immediately thinks he should write her story from her bullies’ perspective?

It has taken me 24 hours to process what I saw on Parliament TV. I saw two women from opposing parties expressing their sincere concerns about how women's sex-based protections are damaged by self identification of sex. And they were shouted down in the most intimidating way.

I’m a Mancunian. Born and bred. This is my home. I’m not going anywhere, I won’t shut up and I don’t give in to bullies.

Thoughts on cis. It is a term which indicates that one accepts it is possible for there to be two kinds of women. I don’t accept this. There is a legal fiction that in limited circumstances people with certificates can require institutions to conceal their sex.

Magdalen Berns urged us to speak in our own names. I didn’t do it. She died and I mourned an articulate public speaker, cutting wit and an important GC voice. Emma Hilton started tweeting in her own name in tribute to Magdalen. I gathered my courage. Can you be braver?

Threatening sexual violence is not protest.

If your reaction to the new EHRC guidance on single sex guidance is that it should be thrown in the bin. Then this reveals something of your attitude to women and single sex spaces...

One size does not fit all. Young girls deserve single sex spaces. When we remove those spaces we shrink their world. She needed a chaperone back to her car. We have turned the clock back more than 100 years on sex equality
What a shocker! Girls now feeling unsafe in unisex changing rooms. Have no idea why companies like @Primark did not consider this beforehand?

Don’t take your legal advice from Stonewall. The Forstater Judgment today focused on whether a woman‘a statement of her belief that sex matters and it cannot be changed merited protection from discrimination.
Today's judgement on a well-publicised employment tribunal does not change the reality of trans people's workplace protection. No-one has the right to discriminate against, or harass, trans people simply because they disagree with their existence and participation in society.
