Dear Ed Eyestone (BYU), THANK YOU for taking a 9:20 3200 meter HS kid and developing into a silver medalist. These days, colleges won’t look at you unless you’re under 9:00. Hopefully, that can change. ED certainly changed Kenneth, didn’t he….

- Quietly, and without many watching, these guys put in a ton of work. And when everyone WAS watching, gave everyone in the building a gift; the excitement, the energy, the results. Wow!
- I never want to forget the last 10 seconds of this race. You want to be like Grant? Use your brain the last portion of a race. This isn’t coaching, this IS Grant Fisher. It’s the reason everyone knows his name. Be like G.
- 9th with 250 to go. 7th with 120 to go. BRONZE at the finish! NEVER give up. Wear the medal proudly. Congrats G! @Phresh_Fish
- It’s just a moment in time. But what a wonderful moment. It’s difficult to verbalize the work, discipline, nutrition, and mental focus that made this moment possible. On this day, you did something no other American has ever done! Celebrate! (And then get back to work:) LA28
- Coaches and parents, if this guy just created a new goal or dream for your kids, foster it and watch it grow. Our jobs are to help them get there and remove hurdles. Running develops self esteem like no other. Your work becomes your reward. And that’s a good thing. #TOD
- I know everyone wants to congratulate you on your amazing journey. I just want to say thanks for letting me be a part of it. @Phresh_Fish
- Another pair, gone. And they didn’t even last one week. @Nike ….at this rate, you’re going to have to send them in bulk. This train is rolling.
- I don’t expect kids to know the benefits of HS XC but parents should know; best GPA on average, you earn your own results, you master your own mind. The question isn’t ’WHY XC?’ The question is ‘why NOT?!’ #TOD
- When we sat down, I asked, ‘What is your goal?’ He said ‘get on the podium in Paris.’ And I said…….‘Let’s get to work!’You HAVE to watch this finish by American Grant Fisher in the men's 10,000m final! 😱 #ParisOlympics 📺 NBC, E! and Peacock
00:00 - When Grant said he wanted to ‘podium,’ I thought he meant once. My bad….
00:00 - Practice was so well this morning I didn’t want it to end. The energy at XC practice can’t be matched. And it’s awesome they take it into the classroom. XC might be the biggest secret in all of HS. I’d say ‘don’t tell anyone’ but you need to. In this case, tell everyone. #TOD
00:00 - After Fisher medaled in the 10k, Yared said ‘if he can do it, so can I.’ And thankfully, you were right. Success breeds success.
- That concludes the indoor campaign. The planning, the dedicated effort Grant puts in, the rest, the work, and the execution of race plan. All impressive. Thanks Grant Fisher for giving us something to cheer about!
