Actor who became synonymous with his “Green Acres” character, Eb Dawson. Tom Lester, as Eb Dawson, also made numerous appearances on “country cousin” series “The Beverly Hillbillies” and “Petticoat Junction.” #RIPTomLester

#BTD in 1899, Frederick Austerlitz aka FRED ASTAIRE. According to peers and professionals, Astaire is considered the most influential dancer in the history of film. In 1970 Astaire was enticed to improvise a routine on the Academy Awards broadcast. He was 70 at the time.
