Week 1: The experience of college football in Iowa City is pretty special. Thanks to friends and family that came out to see Mark’s first game at Iowa. Winning his 50th game as a D1 QB is a blessing. No matter what the stats are, winning is the goal & the Hawkeye’s are now 1-0.

- Week 1: Although SDSU took one on the chin vs. Oklahoma State breaking a 29 game winning streak, the experience of college football weekend in Stillwater, OK is pretty special.
- Week 8: Memories were made w/ Iowa vs Penn St. It was electric at Kinnick with the fans engaged in every play. Absolutely thrilled with the come from behind victory. I imagined Mark would do it with his arm, not his legs but winning is what it’s about. Mark finds a way to win.
- Week 2: Rival games are always a grind & the Iowa Super Bowl (Iowa vs Iowa State) was no different. Extremely disappointing when you lose a close one but in this rivalry, it’s not a conference game. Plenty yet to accomplish in the season. Thanks to friends that joined the journey.
- Week 5: Very emotional loss to #11 Indiana for multiple reason but even in a loss we continue to be proud to be a part of this Hawkeye Family. The support of family, friends and fans is appreciated. Hawks are now 3-2 with time to reset during the bye week.
- Week 7: There is a saying, “play each play like it’s your last.” After the last game we didn’t know when the next one would come. For Mark to return after 2 weeks was both a blessing and with reservation. This decisive win over WI should leave no doubt to the team’s ability.
- Thanks Brookings, it’s been an amazing chapter in this thing called life. The memories in South Dakota will not be forgotten. Onward
- Week 11: #20 Iowa in the CFP rankings needed a win vs #9 Oregon to keep playoff hopes alive. With rain & cold temps, conditions were not pleasant. After completing a 93 yard drive that appeared to be the winning TD, Oregon kicked a FG with :07 left. Heartbreaking loss
- Week 6: Bye week - Happy Birthday Mark! We enjoy being a part of the journey.
- Week 4: Big Ten opener Friday night on National TV, in front of an energized crowd of 55,000 at Rutgers. Does it get much better? How about a come from behind 10 point victory? Hawks are now 3-1 and getting better every week, next up Indiana at Kinnick.

00:00 - Week 17: NDSU ends SDSU’s bid for a 3rd Championship ending the season with a 12-3 record. Mark ends his SDSU career tied as the winningest QB in Division 1 FCS history with 49 wins. The amazing people of the state of South Dakota will always have a special place in our hearts
- Week 3: It was a special day vs. UMASS to see Kirk Ferentz become the winningest Coach in Big10 history (206) while Mark sets the record for the most wins by a Division 1 QB (51). Both state “it takes a TEAM to accomplish these records.” Thanks to those that make the TEAM.
