I am heartbroken for Dave Duncan. To lose a son and a wife to such an insidious disease is an unspeakable tragedy. Our hearts go out to the Duncan family.

- I don’t get scoops very often but I couldn’t sit on this any longer: My friend and partner Earl Austin, Jr has been elected to the Billiken Hall of Fame! His effort, dedication and professionalism is unparalleled. He makes the broadcasts go and me a better announcer. Congrats!

- My boyhood hero is gone. I wish I could talk to him one more time. Watch him single to left center once more. Watch Lou, completely in control of the situation steal second once more (of course ending with a pop up slide). My thoughts are with Lou’s family.
- Gotta play for blood now. Somebody who has the self awareness of their value to the team has to avenge Binnington with blood… Take the suspension and a victim with you.
- I grew up on the Cardinals in the 60s. How lucky was I? And now, one by one they are fading away. Bob Gibson was the best I ever saw. He was heroic, not only to kids like me and adult fans but, I suspect even to his teammates. Rest In Peace
- The explore St. Louis campaign is well meaning but getting celebrities to say “St. Lou” is just wrong. Nobody from here says that. Whew…had to vent.
