At Harvard University today, at the main library, students wrote & read out the names of the 10,000+ Palestinians Israel killed in the last month. We know and remember them all, by name, in our hearts, forever. May they find eternal peace; and may we nonviolently seek the same.

The ICC now faces perhaps the biggest ever test of its credibility. If a rules-based order exists, the Israeli assault on Gaza that was approved in person by the US president will indicate if it is serious or just another racist colonial deception...
How can one call this a war on Hamas? This level of destruction in Beit Hanoun only serves to make Gaza uninhabitable. To leave 2.3 million Palestinians with nothing to return to - so that they won't return. Biden attended Israel's war cabinet and approved the war plan.

I've witnessed many scenes of hurt in my life, but never have I witnessed anything as painful as this. I could not stop watching it, over and over again, perhaps hoping I could relieve Dr Naim of some of his pain. But of course nothing could ever do that. We can only pledge to

An important element of this episode is that normal, ordinary people around the world now understand how normal, ordinary Arabs have felt during the past 5 decades of authoritarian governments that treat their citizens like idiots or sheep, almost always with foreign support.
#Khashoggi was a 60 year old man. What sort of equal โ€œfight" would he have had against 15 other men? And who brings a bone saw to a โ€œdiscussionโ€?! The stupidity of the Saudi explanation is mind bogglingโ€ฆ.

You have to be detained by Russia, China or Iran for the US government to make some noise for you...

Me and Canadian pal Bob Rae in NY city, still smiling after 60 years of friendship, since 9th grade in Geneva. He's a diplomat, I'm a journalist analyst, and we remain perplexed by many ways of our world, but keep working to improve it through justice and equality. @BobRae48

Lebanese Red Cross is absolutely the organization to which people who wish to help Lebanon should send donations. They are honest, efficient, nonsectarian, tireless and fearless.they are what the Lebanese government should be, but is not, sadly.

The honest and principled Rev. Don Wagner states the obvious, for those who dare to see with their eyes: "I saw Israelโ€™s 'final solution to the Palestinian problem' in Lebanon 41 years ago, and I see it again today"

There is something monumental about a traditional Lebanese breakfast that is hard to capture in words...

Nobody should miss the underlying reality here which perhaps explains the intense, blood-curdling US government support for Israel's assault to obliterate Gaza and its people: The United States was one of the world's first settler-colonial states built by white racist Europeans..
NOW: Much love to our Native brothers and sisters from Indigenous Roots who are leading the march in Minneapolis for a Free PalestineโœŠ This is so beautiful. We're all crying. #Gazagenocideโ€Œ

Dr. Joseph Bahout has been named as the new director of the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs. A great appointment, from among a very strong field of worthy candidates. Mabrook to him, to IFI, and to AUB.

Few people who deal with the Middle East combine data, scholarship, context, and ethics as well as does Shibley Telhami. Watch this and learn.
