Why is Huberman Lab popular?
“People aren’t stupid. People want detail, and people want science.”
A huge thank you to @DrAndyGalpin for giving so much detail & science on all things physical performance in our 6-episode Guest Series on @hubermanlab.
Andy, you are a beast!🙏💪
Our episode with Tim Ferriss is out now. @tferriss
Having Tim on the HLP was really special for both me and Andrew. We’ve long admired and drawn inspiration from him. And boy did Tim deliver in this conversation.
As many who know me are aware, I’ve been obsessed with podcasts
Love this from Sacca on @tferriss. "They're like, okay, Q1, Q2. And I'm like, no Q Friday. Write it up. What are we talking about here? We are men of action, lies do not become us. I'm just like, I have no f**king time for that... It's way too easy to let this stuff slip away."
Many ask what goes into an HLP recording. This was our most involved—2 wks of prep, 3 sessions over 3 days with 11 hrs of recording, 3 256gb sd cards & untold amounts of caffeine. @hubermanlab even outlasted my pen, which ran out of ink. It’s a good one! #fertility On to next wk!
Tomorrow's Huberman Lab episode is with The Psychology of Money author @morganhousel.
In it, Morgan shares the below formula with @hubermanlab.
Purpose + Independence = A Good Life
You need to have a purpose that is bigger than yourself. A reason to wake up each day and take
Solo episode. These are episodes with just Andrew. Weeks of preparation, and a full day spent recording. No transcript. No teleprompter. Just 2 cameras and a microphone. Our guest episodes are fun to capture, but the solos have a special magic to them.
Tomorrow we return with a
I’m in the video as well—and I look equally as awkward going thru the drills. And I’m decent runner: 2h32m marathon (5:48/mi), 1h12m half (5:30/mi) & a sub 5 min mile. All official race times. This was a sprint-specific workout. Every non-elite sprinter would look nuts doing it.
Is this just blatant corruption from the American Heart Association? Insanity. The funding of these orgs needs a full overhaul. It's no wonder that trust in gov't & orgs like AHA is gone.
@ChrisPalmerMD & @hubermanlab discuss in this week's episode of Huberman Lab.
I am disgusted.
The American Heart Association just sent an employee to TEXAS to fight a bill that would stop food stamps from covering candy & soda—a bill to reduce heart disease.
Why? Because the AHA takes money from Kellogg’s & Pepsi, whose profits would tank if it passed.
Another day in the studio with @hubermanlab — episode forthcoming on the health effects of Adderall, Modafinil, Vyvanse, Ritalin and other stimulants meant to treat ADHD.
I’m convinced that 𝕏 will be the top platform for podcast distribution/consumption in 2 year’s time.
Here’s why…
- Virality of content/ strength of algorithm
- Inherently social in design
- Less banning/ demonetization risk
- Emphasis on video
- Speed of platform innovation
