    Very powerful & direct message of 🇵🇰 PM @ImranKhanPTI on equality in the access to vaccines “the richer countries are vaccinating their people 20 times faster than the developing world. This inequity has to be removed.”

    Today I join @UNCTAD as Secretary-General as the @UN's trade body prepares to host the first major trade conference amid #COVID19. Ours is a great responsibility. Now is the time to generate global solutions for trade and development. I look forward to doing so at UNCTAD's helm.

    The renewal of the Black Sea Grain Initiative is good news for global food security and for the developing world. It remains a “ beacon of hope” & proof of what leadership & multilateralism can achieve, even in the midst of war. Solving the fertilizer crunch must come next.
