Alabama has botched another execution attempt. After repeated failed attempts to set an IV line, ADOC has called off the execution of Kenneth Smith. This is the state’s third failed execution since February 2018 and fourth in that period with significant IV problems. @DPInfoCtr
Hamm said that the execution was called off after issues establishing vein access. He wouldn't answer ?s about the # of times Smith was prodded before the execution was called off, although he confirmed they attempted vein access in "several" locations. bit.ly/3TMsE6L
