The wife of Palestine’s national team former goalkeeper Abdullah Shaqfa has been killed in an Israeli attack on tents in Al-Mawasi, Gaza. A footballer mourning his wife under the rubble. If he wasn’t Palestinian, this would be all over the news.

What's extraordinary about this story is the Israelis didn't even bother to remove evidence of execution - bound hands, blindfolds - before handing the bodies back. Impunity.

Yesterday, Israeli occupation authorities transferred the bodies of 45 Palestinians to the International Committee of the Red Cross. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the bodies bore clear signs of torture, mutilation, and field execution, including bound hands

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans were filmed chanting racist, genocidal slogans. They were also reportedly attacking local Muslims. For the BBC to fail to mention this in its reporting of the violence in Amsterdam last night is disgraceful. Sky the same. /1

The crime of starvation is unfolding before the eyes of the world. People choose to die by bullets outside the Israeli-American hunger engineering centers rather than from starvation. So far, no fewer than 1,000 starving Palestinians have been killed outside these centers.

The murder of a journalist in a hospital bed is a double war crime that ought really to be a news story - and of particular concern to journalists. As far as I can see - not a squeak in western media.
