- My mom, Avril Allison Proteau, died today. She was 71, and she held on long enough for me to get to the hospital and hold her hand and stroke her hair at the end. As I said in the dedication to my book, she had the heart of a tiger. No kid ever loved his mom more than I love her.
- As always, attempts to pin P.K. Subban's personality as the reason for a team's woes says more about the accuser & nothing about Subban. He's talented, honest & confident, and every community he's been a part of is better for it. Having him in NYC area is a blessing for the NHL.
- P.K. Subban may not be for everyone. But saying he makes everything about him? The man donated $10 million to a children's hospital. That is about others. And that makes him alright with me.
