We are leaving X. It has become evident that the platform is bringing more bad than good to our lives to our politics.
Before Musk bought it, Twitter had its issues but it always seemed like they were solvable. Since he has bought it the place has been swamped by extreme views, misinformation, hateful content, déepfakes, oots, questionable algorithms, hackers & more bad stuff. That's before you get to Grok, and the recent troubling escalation of child sexual abuse material being created by users.

We are under no illusion that our leaving will have any impact on the greater landscape ot social nedia, but we will be part of the wave looking for positive changes needed in this world. This needs mass action now. We encourage all other political activist groups, political parties, politicians, news channels, sports channels, entertainment channels, etc. to be part of that necessary change, and to leave X.

You can find us on other platforms including
Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, Threads & WhatsApp. These plattorms are not without their owr issues we know, but they pale in comparison compared to X, and for now it makes sense to continue on them to promote a more progressive & positive tuture tor Northern Ireland & beyond.
