SaskPower is providing 153 MW of electricity to AB this evening to assist them through this shortage.
That power will be coming from natural gas and coal-fired plants, the ones the Trudeau government is telling us to shut down (which we won’t).

- NDP MPs know Trudeau’s use of the Emergencies Act is an abuse of power. They have a unique opportunity to take a principled, courageous stand by voting against it. Will they? We’ll find out soon…
- Quebec says there is “no social acceptability” for oil from western Canada. That’s funny.. there seems to be a lot of social acceptability for equalization payments from western Canada. Someone should check into that.
- Just to be clear, both Canada and the US will continue to import oil from Russia. Because our national governments consider the construction of oil pipelines from western Canada a greater threat than Russia, apparently.
