- Today, German Parliament has decided with vast majority to extend German participation in NATO-led RS Mission until March 2021. This is a clear signal that Germany doesn't leave the AFG people alone in their striving for peace & security.
- Concerned about reports of house searches, intimidation, violence against "criminals" in & around Kabul. As it turns out, this mostly affected ordinary citizens, including international NGO workers. This is not a proper way to win the hearts & minds of the AFG people.
- Germany 🇩🇪 and Qatar 🇶🇦 co-hosting opening dinner for intra Afghan Dialogue: Unique opportunity for Afghans to sit together and talk about the future of Afghanistan #intraAfghanDialogue
- Encouraging news from Doha, Kabul, Washington, D.C. tonight. No party to the conflict must jeopardize this hard-fought progress in US/TLB talks. On the contrary, all have to show political will to start meaningful intra-AFG negotiations asap. Germany stands ready to facilitate.
- This morning's reports that girls' schools above grade 6 should suspend their classes until further notice, are deeply disturbing. This is not only a blow for all Afghan girls who want to attend schools, universities, have career perspectives.
- Today, a vast majority in German Parliament voted for an extension of our military's contribution to RSM in AFG. Up to 1,300 German soldiers will continue to train, assist, advise AFG security forces.

- Germany continues to support Afghan women & girls, in and outside #Afghanistan. If half the population are unable to participate as equals, no society can reach its full potential. If half of the population are excluded, sustainable peace & security cannot be achieved. #IWD2022
