As Kashmiri Pandit Univ student, I was mocked by lecturer for speaking up about annihilation, discouraged to document Muslim fundamentalists, terror dismissed as 'class struggle'. For us, The Kashmir Files was- finally someone- cared to listen & dared to project as is, on cinema.

This is Kashmir, today. Kheer Bhawani Mandir, where thousands of Displaced Kashmiri Hindus returned to mark Zyeth Ashtami. Ancient, Mata RagnyaDevi temple in TullaMulla. Devotees informed me the security arrangements were top notch. 🙏

    1. What changed in one month in Karnataka? 2. Who convinced young girls to suddenly hide their bodies, fight for religion, rather than focus on impending college exams? 3. Which outfit knew Hindus will likely react and turn it communal? 4. When are elections due in Karnataka?

Murder of a fine photojournalist should've led to discussions on Taliban, on resurgence and brutality of Islamist terrorists. Abt ground reality in Afghanistan. Instead, outrage diverted at online trolls and why has the Indian PM not tweeted. Trolls didn't kill him, Taliban did.

AYODHYA- 500 years later, Suryawanshi Thakurs finally wear a turban. As Ram Temple opens doors. Suryawanshis say their ancestors led by- Gajraj Singh- fought against Mir Baqi's Army, when janmbhoomi was seized & mosque built. They took vow to not cover head, till Ram got a home.

'Anti-India propaganda' - Why is foreign press facing anger in India? I looked at international reporting on India and noticed a glaring, consistent theme. Irrespective of ground reality. Must watch #Homeland

Listen to this man crying. #Article35A "I am Sanitation worker. Remained hungry, saved money to take her to exam centre. She cleared but was denied due to PRC Residency." He worked as Sanitation worker - with low wages, in hope for children future. Family not allowed a Govt job

Sleeping tonight with the realisation of relative stability I live with, in India. Imagine if the PM residence is on fire and mobs at your door on Delhi streets. Never taking the moment for granted. Be cautious of who you support. Cautious of who you oppose.

Terribly disappointed, Delhi. Only 50.47 % voter turnout! Less than even 2017, which had 54 %. Mainly older age group was seen in the queues. Where was the righteous, brave, opinionated youth? Busy making Insta reels?? Unfortunate for National Capital. #MCDElections2022

You woke up disturbed, after a movie. Imagine the victims who faced that in real life. And then, to see their lived experience be dismissed, ridiculed and not find support for years .... Because you rather believed an outspoken separatist and articulated professor.

To Indians writing they won't visit J&K, or will cancel visit to Vaishno Devi, Shankaracharya, Kheer Bhawani- Don't do it. That's exactly what Jihadists want.  Keep ancient temples bright & bustling. Esp. in J&K. Esp. remaining ones. Once forced to leave, There is no return.
