During COVID, central London rents fell dramatically. This was, obviously, because landlords became less greedy and decided to put aside their evil ways, and unrelated to the sudden reversal of the supply/demand imbalance forcing landlords to compete for tenants. - Replying to @bestofnextdoorI have a similar problem. They all speak English when they go home. Obviously, there's a limit to how far you'll go with a practical joke, so the fake language naturally lacks certain obvious concepts - le bigfoot, le weekend, etc. You just caught her out.
