- Reference to our previous message on a murder case which occurred on 13/09/21 at Kadada Shops, Dz, Hre. Police confirms the arrest of Campion Marowa (35) in connection with the case and recovered a .38 Astra Revolver and 2x.38 spent cartridges. Investigations are underway.
- The ZRP confirms the arrest of Tigors Tyron Seigfried (39) in connection with unlawful possession of 1 900 grammes of Crystal Meth. The drugs were found in the suspect’s house along Chemford, Matshehlope, Bulawayo. #notodrugandsubstanceabuse.
- Breaking news The ZRP has arrested 200 teenagers who were having a party at number 344 Mukwa Drive, Westgate, Harare, in open contravention of the Government's COVID-19 regulations. Some of the teenagers are dead drunk. More details to follow.
- The ZRP has taken note of a video which has gone viral on social media on alleged political violence in Murewa North. Investigations are now in progress. More details will be released in due course.
- Update on social media post: Assault incident in Kadoma The ZRP wishes to thank members of the public for the co - operation rendered in the inquires. The complainant Pedzisai Mangisi (30) has since been located while the accused person Litten Chikoore has been arrested.
- The ZRP appreciates and notes the concerns raised by members of the public on spelling errors by the contractor on vehicles. The ZRP Transport Section has since corrected the anomalies. We thank the public for the observation.
- Elections come and go and we all need to live with each other in peace. Let’s maintain peace in our neighbourhoods even with those whom we perceive as opponents. They are our neighbours, workmates, church mates etc. ZRP promoting peaceful elections.
- The ZRP has noted a viral sexual abuse incident involving school children which occurred recently. The ZRP has dispatched a team to conduct comprehensive investigations in connection with the incident. More details will be released in due course.
- The police has noted with concern that the on going protests have turned violent. While individuals have a right to demonstrate the right should be exercised in peace. Acts of violence violate other people's rights and are not acceptable.
- The ZRP confirms that musician Energy Chizanga (34) aka ”Freeman” is currently being interviewed by CID Homicide in connection with ongoing investigations into criminal allegations and association with armed robbery suspects. More details to be availed.
