Last week all police forces worked together to target county lines drugs gangs:
- 500 men and 86 women were arrested
- 519 vulnerable adults and 364 children were safeguarded
- Officers seized more than ยฃ300k cash and more than ยฃ200k of drugs
Operation Sceptre commences today and will see officers increasing their use of stop and search powers, conducting weapon sweeps and targeting habitual knife carriers #knifefree
Thank you to all the police officers, staff and volunteers who have worked incredibly hard over the long bank holiday weekend to keep people safe during these demanding times.
Disinformation is a huge driver of this appalling violence and we know a lot of those attending these so-called protests are doing so in direct response to what theyโve read online.
