Google has just suspended Podcast Addict again. This time for having Podcasts about Covid 19... Are you for real Google. Can you please check your own Google Podcast App, your search engine,Youtube, ... first

I just realised that I started developing Podcast Addict 10 years ago... The app started as a side project but it's been my main activity for the past 7 years now. This has been the best job ever (minus the times when Google messes up with the app...)

So I got 1 star reviews when Joe Rogan sold his podcast. Now I'm getting 1 star reviews asking me to remove him from the platform (he's just available on Spotify!), but also 1 star reviews and angry emails bc apparently I banned him from the app... Enough with Joe Rogan!!!

Sometimes these 1-star reviews are so frustrating... This person has no clue how much work it takes to keep an app and its servers up and running while keeping publishing new features and handling the support. Also, podcast apps as well as podcast hosting platforms are vital

Thanks @cbcpodcasts for sending your lawyers after me for including your PUBLIC podcasts in Podcast Addict! Like every podcast app, we don’t host any content—we simply index public feeds. If you don’t want your shows in apps, mark them PRIVATE. End of story.

Good news, Google accepted my appeal.! Now if I understand correctly I need to fix the issue and submit the app again So basically I added an extra space at the end of the app listing and pressed on ReSubmit. We'll see what happens now

New update rejected because Google doesn't want me to use the permission allowing users to set an alarm and wake up with their podcast/radio... This is getting worse and worse. Now they decide for you what the core features of your app are supposed to be. Every year I need to

Basically they ask me to 'FIX' the app, and publish it as a new app that will therefore have no download, no ratings on the store. So 9 years of work for nothing?

Since Podcast Addict has been restored to the Play Store I received a lot of messages from other developers who have been experiencing the exact same issue. They are asking me how I got this fixed and how I was able to get someone to talk to at Google.
