    Pitt trailed Cincinnati 27-6 with 4:50 left in 3rd quarter. This is Pitt’s largest comeback since 10-9-71. Trailed Navy 35-10 at halftime, and came back to win 36-35. #H2P

    A long-standing Athletics Committee Meeting scheduled for today was postponed due to staff commitments related to our coaching search. Any characterization that the meeting was urgently arranged to discuss basketball is inaccurate, ill-informed and irresponsible.

    Pitt has cancelled its expected athletic board meeting today on short notice, per a source. Agenda of meeting included re-evaluating the search for a basketball coach.

    Pitt is 5-0 for first time since 1991. Eli Holstein first Pitt QB to win his opening 5 starts since Dan Marino in 1979. Holstein’s 381 passing yards broke Pitt freshman single-game record (366 by Alex Van Pelt vs. West Virginia, 1989). #HistoryWillBeMade
