But the idea that Brighton is under some obligation to sell their best young player MID-YEAR simply bc richer teams have come calling and the player is anxious to move is precisely the problem in European football, as much or more than Sovereign Wealth Funds owning teams. (7/F)

Why does it have to be now though? If they can get €80M now they can get damn close to it this summer? Are they expecting a massive dip in form? Falling out of a UCL spot bc they lost Marmoush would cost them MINIMUM €25-30M, possibly more.
