Unveiling the world of finance, one tweet at a time! 💰✨
From no english, education, or connections to a multi millionaire, my father is the definition of the American dream.
He immigrated from Mexico at 16, working tirelessly at a Denny's in California. In his early 20s, he moved to Michigan with a visa granted by the Cesar Chavez
When married I’d like to have one joint account for bills/groceries one joint emergency savings account and then our SEPARATE spending account.
He doesn’t need to see what I spent at Sephora. And idc about his golf league.
Any married folks out there have a different take ?
Unpopular opinion:
Weddings are a waste of both time and money
I know it’s tradition and every girls dream, but 30k ? Feels like a sin to spend that much on a few hours.
Three accounts. Joint for shared expenses, proportional split based on income goes in to cover all bills, savings for vacations etc. after all investing and savings covered, remaining goes into individual checking accounts to spend how you want
I just don’t see the point in fully combining all my finances when married
Financial autonomy is very important to me.
Bills & house stuff? Sure
My spending is my business and equally I’ll respect him and how he spends his money, I trust he knows how to spend his money I’m
