There's a lot to digest in Gov. Youngkin's budget, but this proposal stands out:
Youngkin proposes taxing FAMILY income at a higher rate (5.5% top bracket) than CORPORATE profits (calling for 5.0%...and 4% by end of his term).
Red flag alert.

- It's hot. Really, terribly hot. Too hot for farm workers to be paid less than the minimum wage. But they aren't even guaranteed $7.25 in Virginia. We have to fix that.

- A reminder that teachers & millionaires in VA are in the same income tax bracket (5.75%) By cutting that rate, as the Gov wants, the lion's share of the benefit goes folks at the top, not the working class. There are better ways forward (child tax credit, refundable EITC, etc.)
