The Bitcoin Cash and BU developer who discovered CVE-2018–17144 -- one of the most significant Bitcoin bugs ever and a bug that allowed miners to create coins out of thin air -- describes the story behind it and his experience with responsible disclosure.

The Craig Wright fraud scandal gets worse and worse the more we dig. He copied Sections 3 (minus 3.1), 4, 5, 6 from Liu & Wang: sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Here's a link to Craig Wright's (@proffaustus) article: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf… @nChainGlobal @CalvinAyre: CSW is a conman.

How do you send the signals faster than the speed of light, @proffaustus? It takes light 130 ms to circle the earth. How can we have 99.998% certainty in only 20ms when it would be impossible for a node in New York to send and receive a message back from a node in London?

Welcome to the world, Arlo! Our healthy baby boy was born at 2:39pm on June 21st, weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and measuring 20.5" long. I love him so much already.

The Lightning Network will be remembered as the greatest boondoggle in cryptocurrency history. /1

I support @CobraBitcoin’s proposal to rewrite the Bitcoin (BTC) white paper. It gives the impression that BTC is cash, nodes are miners, SPV is for users, and that hash power both enforces and defines the consensus rules. This applies only to BCH. BTC needs its own white paper.

2/2 This will test if Bitcoin Cash can avoid being captured by a group of developers. Bitcoin does not have payouts to 3rd parties encoded into its protocol. If exchanges and miners download and run the new version of ABC, BCH will be Bcash with no rights to the name "bitcoin."

Is your Lightning balance a few dollars lower than it was Monday and you don't know why? The reason is that as network fees rise, more and more of your money needs to be reserved for closing the channel, when necessary. What happens to your $50 balance when fees hit $50 again?

The Blockchain split on 1 August 2017 into two branches: BCH and BTC. Both branches have legitimate claims over the name "Bitcoin." If you hold an unshakable conviction that only one is "real" and the other is a "fraud" then you might be a cultist. This applies to _both_ sides.

World's first 1.0001 GB block was mined and propagated on the #gigablocktestnet yesterday. Excited to present our research @ScalingBitcoin!

Due to the need to be online to get paid, LN users will have custodial accounts with LN hubs. The credit extended to users will exceed the BTC locked in LN channels for the same reason the $ in bank accounts exceeds the $ in physical cash. LN is not P2P e-cash, it’s banking 2.0
Lightning tokens are not bitcoins. This was completely unpredictible. I'm very very very very surprized.

Billion-dollar corporations take note: Bitcoin Cash is open for business! Just try to fill up our blocks, I dare you. There will be no "Fidelity Effect" with BCH. Unlike BTC, we _want_ you to use the Blockchain. BCH never really hits a scale ceiling.
