- Looking forward. We have now booked our accommodations and purchased our flights for 75 days in Portugal 2026 instead of our past habitual Florida. - The opinion that virtually everyone in the world wants to be American 🇺🇸 is valid only in America, a country where the vast majority don’t own a passport and have never left America. It’s a massively inbred opinion. Most of the world likes being themselves more than being US.
- Rebel News is banned from G7 by @MarkJCarney Rebel News is a disruptive right wing performative advertising firm backed by money from anywhere it can get it. Rebel News has no journalist credibility or standards. Mark Carney has my full support in reducing foreign influence.
- If you don’t feel free in Canada, nothing any political candidate can say or do will ever help you. A candidate peddling more freedom , or telling you to take back Canada is creating anger in you for their own purposes. Canada is not perfect, we have work to do, but we are free
- Canada’s human hand counted paper ballots delivered election results same night. The ballots are secured in case of recount or dispute. No Canadian vote travelled digitally through satellites. Safe, secure, and worth the price it costs.
- Doug Ford must immediately cancel his $100 million deal with Starlink, a deal that he made without public consultation. We cannot develop any reliance on US based service providers in an unstable political environment that disrespects signed agreements on a whim.
- Not snowbirding in Florida 2026. In 2025 DeSantis said Florida didn’t need Canadians, while we were there spending money. We listened. Just locked in the entire month of March in Algarve region of Portugal, confirmed with deposit made. Incredibly reasonable. More to come.
- Our dentist did not join the Canadian Dental Benefits Plan. We had lots of choices for a new dentist that did join. Yesterday I had my first visit, inventory and cleaning with a bright young dentist that I believe is even better than my last one. My share of the bill: $ 0.00
- Just booked the February of our 2026 Winter escape in Portugal instead of the Unstable States where we have spent 80-90 days per year since 2021. 34 nights at a condo resort in the Algarve, nicely appointed big 1 bedroom with terrace, well reviewed. All in C$ 71.22/ night
- It’s starting to look like the biggest problem with NATO is having the US as a member.
- In two breaths today: Pierre Poilievre stated that PMJT (under oath) was lying. That's libel. Pierre also told Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to release the names, which would be an illegal criminal act subject to prison time. Encouraging a criminal act is a criminal act.
- If we consider opening Canada to US milk, I believe that we must insist that the US milk be pasteurized and packaged in Canada where we actually have controls and inspections.
- Never buy combat aircraft from an enemy that can disable those aircraft at will. It’s a trap in a future world war. The threat potential that the US is indeed Canada’s enemy is off the charts high. Cancel the F-35 and buy Eurofighters. Canada fits that supply chain well.
