I spend my time shocking the world. In my spare time, I do things they said I couldn't do. I also watch and play cricket, which is like the first two things.

Went back to the full match replay. Charlie Dean was leaving her crease early starting with her 2nd ball at the non-striker's end in the 18th over. Ball still in bowler's hand. Dean is never looking at the bowler to see if/when the ball has been released. Basic lack of awareness.

For all the people moaning, "how come you never do screenshots for India players leaving their crease early?" it's generally because they don't. Just charted the whole India v Pakistan match. India's batters overwhelmingly stay in their crease, led by Kohli and Pandya.

Most fielders do it anyway, but extra smart by @SRazaB24 to pick the striker's end for the final ball runout to beat Pakistan. Wasim had left the non-striker's end before Evans leaped into his delivery stride, huge start. Raza's best option for a runout was always striker's end.

Well... Now this isn't awkward at all.

The "Ashwin Effect" illustrated perfectly on the Liton Das runout by KL Rahul. Not only does the Ashwin Effect keep Liton in the crease at the point of delivery, but he still hasn't left the crease when the ball has reached striker Shanto. Lack of start makes all the difference.
Peter, I'm so sorry to do this to you, but since the bowler was Ashwin and the run out was at the bowler's end, was the mankad on there? @PeterDellaPenna

For all the people moaning that a warning wasn't given to Charlie Dean by Deepti Sharma. The reality is that Dean was a habitual offender leaving the non-striker's end early. No warning is needed and if anything she could have been runout at the non-striker's end much earlier.
Deepti Sharma had her eyes set on the target! 👀 📸 : England Cricket

The most insane part of the final ball chaos is that after Harshal Patel whiffed on an initial BRONSE attempt on Ravi Bishnoi, Bishnoi then left his crease early even more egregiously on the subsequent ball that was actually delivered by Harshal. He could have run him out 2x.

28 off 8... What a collapse. Kohli amazing. But what a collapse.

Beware. If you try to run onto a cricket field in New York during this T20 World Cup, the NY State Troopers & NYPD are not going to giggle and gently escort you off the field like Jarvo. You will get tackled American football style and handcuffed straight to jail.
The fan who breached the field and hugged Rohit Sharma was taken down by the USA police. - Rohit requested the officers to go easy on them.

Fans were so eager to give @ImRo45 a high five after @BCCI India's win over @windiescricket in Florida today that a small crush of fans fell through a barricade in the west side grandstand. They were too happy to be hurt.

On the flip side, Pakistan had a serial offender in Iftikhar (pictured), who was out of NS crease early for all but first ball. Full Pakistan chart # out of NS end early. Babar: 3/7 (43%) Rizwan: 0/13 Shan Masood: 35/74 (47%) Iftikhar: 15/16 (94%) Asif: 0/2 Nawaz: 0/6 Afridi: 0/9

A big part of me beams with pride upon seeing this happen at U19 level knowing that the next generation of women's players are keen to play the game according to the laws and not according to some anachronistic "spirit" that is never defined the same way by two different people.
I get that it's legal. I get that it's part of the rules. But a tiny piece of my heart breaks seeing this happen at U19s level. I guess this is where the game is going... x.com/CricCrazeVideo…

Translation: "When Senanayake did it to me, it made me upset. I didn't learn my lesson, Ashwin did it to me a few years later and it made me even more upset. I'll be even more upset if it happens to me a third time. I don't like being out that way, so please don't make me upset."
Jos Buttler would recall a batter if one of his bowlers ran them out backing up, even in a World Cup final 👀
