    I don’t understand why my peers would publicly go on record slating other artists. My personal view is that I want EVERYONE to thrive. I want us all to win. I feel proud of people I don’t even know when they smash it. I respect anyone that puts in the work. This mindset is alien.

    A guy called Walter came to my gig last night and brought me 3 records that he thought I might like. Rare music from his own collection. His passion was so endearing, so true, so humble & so the opposite of the bullshit of the modern world. It warmed my heart.

    It’s incredible how much energy people put into tearing others down. In one day spent being negative online you could have done something that changes the trajectory of your own, or someone else’s life. What a waste of all that energy.

    First time I saw Weatherall play was in the bottom floor of Back To Basics at the Music Factory in Leeds when I was 17. It was absolute carnage & he was playing Phuture’s Phuture Will Survive. The memory is burned into my synapses. It changed me.

    Kim English was incredible. I have been absolutely in awe of her voice since she started to release music in the 90s. It was a dream to be able to work with her in any context one day, and I felt honoured that we made it happen last year. You are irreplaceable. Rest In Peace.

    Plenty people talk about how fast and disposable the turnaround on music is today, but it's in your hands. If you create works of art that have depth and reward repeat listening over the years, you have a seat at the table. Don't waste energy complaining online. Change it.

    French Kiss still sounds incredible after all these years I used to hear people moan about it in clubs, but that was complacency. It’s raw house music at it’s best. Not even Louis’ best record but still completely wild 🌟
