- Some local patients have turned down an offer this weekend of getting a Covid vaccine when they found out it was the Pfizer one. “I’ll wait for the English one”. People at risk of death in the depths of a pandemic. A lesson that Nationalism has consequences.
- I won’t be voting for a general election until after 31st October. Johnson is trying to trick Parliament into letting him crash out of the EU without a deal, whilst pretending he is negotiating. He’s lying. I won’t let his lies cost Teesside jobs in chemical & car industries
- Spent my first day as Labour’s candidate for Hartlepool working in a Covid clinic, and I’ll be working in the NHS over the weekend too.
- Working in Hartlepool Urgent Care tonight. A patient came in asking for medication. I found out that he’s been street homeless since 22nd Dec, sleeping only in people’s sheds. He was cold, miserable and carried no possessions. He’s my age, but looks 20 years older. (Thread 1/3)
- Just finished my 12th NHS shift in a row. I can't wait for a BBQ with the kids tonight and to be out on my bike tomorrow
- Replying to @PaulWilliamsLABJaime volunteers to work with veterans and homeless people. She has found him a hotel for the next five nights to buy time for the council to put in place a longer term solution, and she’ll ask volunteers to get him a food parcel and some clothes. (3/3)
- Apparently @MattHancock the Health Secretary is visiting North Tees today. Well, Mr Hancock. I’m working in Urgent Care here all day. Please come and visit me so I can tell you about all of the local people who can’t get a CoViD test. It’s a shambles. Do you think he will?
