Everyone has a story. Dominick Barlow’s is unconventional, almost unbelievable and still being written. Feature on one of the Sixers’ unsung heroes this season and his path to the NBA.
Isaiah Thomas said a fan gave him the middle finger with both hands and said, “F— you, b——“ after he made his second free throw. Said he calmly approached the fan to tell him to not to disrespect him. Fan said, “Sorry, I really wanted a Frosty.”
So, Tyrese Maxey, a 21-year-old second-year player that’s been forced to fill in for an All-Star, nails a career-high five threes and hits the dagger jumper against the best team in the East. Oh yeah, he had ZERO turnovers and had to guard James Harden. Unreal.
Tyrese Maxey interrupts a reporter’s question on whether two small guards can work: “Who said I’m small?”
Reporter: “How tall are you?”
Maxey: “Taller than you.”
Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook when guarded by Shake Milton shot a combined 3 of 13.
Milton is looking more and more like a serious find for the Sixers.
Joel Embiid said he asked Tyrese Maxey after the game how he can help him get going and it led to a good conversation. Said he told Maxey the team needs him to be aggressive to go where they want to go.
"This game was lost in March. This game was lost when the NFL owners refused to ban the tush push from happening. It wasn't lost yesterday."
