Ottawa fights back. On behalf of downtown residents, businesses and workers, we are suing the Freedom Convoy organizers, truckers and donors for $306-million and counting. Each day is another $15M in personal harm and lost revenues and wages. Here is the Occupation Zone. /1

Is this a peaceful protest? What if you lived here, and this was going on from early in the morning until late at night, how would you feel? #Ottawa

Break ups are hard to do, but lets be clear. It's him, not us. He made his choice and I trust Hockey Canada NEVER gives him any kind of role again, ceremonial or otherwise.
Gretzky: Enters through US bench Gives thumbs up to US players Wears no red or NOTHING repping Canada Doesn’t even look Team Canada’s way He’s a traitor & MAGA coward Good riddance. #4nations

Because of my job, I’m speaking to a lot of people opposed to vaccination requirements at work. One argument I hear is, well, vaccinated people can get COVID too. Statistically, that’s like saying sober people get in car accidents too, so there’s nothing wrong if I drive drunk.

Every Canadian university should be putting out a statement about this abomination. This is about the eradication of a culture and a people.

Good news for people of downtown Ottawa. Ontario Court of Appeal dismissed Freedom Convoy appeal today, allowing class action to proceed. ONCA found claim has substantial merit and evidence showing serious harm. Freedom to protest must be balanced with rights of others. 1/2

Dear Ottawa residents, you don’t have to formally “join” the truck horn class. If you live in the area, you are automatically members. For those contacting me because they want the area expanded because the trucks are honking there too, we will look at that soon.

This is best speech in Parliament in years. Take a moment and listen. Truth, anger, resolve and hope. Leah Gazan MP articulates all of my fears and concerns in one powerful speech. Civics lesson. /1
It's time to tell some hard truths about what is happening to our country and to our democracy. We can't afford to be complacent any longer. My speech from this morning's debate on the Emergencies Act. #cdnpoli

It has occurred to me that Trump and Poilievre are working together on a mass reverse psychology play…
Last night, President Donald Trump endorsed Mark Carney. Why? Because, as Trump said, he’s “easier” to deal with, and knows that I will be a tough negotiator and always put Canada First. Carney is weak and would cave to Trump’s demands, just like he did when he moved his company

Read entire King judgment last night. Court found "overwhelming evidence" of a planned "occupation of downtown Ottawa by 100s of large trucks" to "gridlock the area" and "cause acute distress to residents, merchants and workers by continuous honking of truck horns". Case closed

Canada has banned the use or manufacture of land mines because the devices are indiscriminate in who they maim or kill. In keeping with this position, Canada should condemn the use of hidden explosive devices in Lebanon as clear violations of the laws of war.
International humanitarian law prohibits the use of booby traps – objects that civilians are likely to be attracted to or are associated with normal civilian daily use – precisely to avoid putting civilians at grave risk. hrw.org/news/2024/09/1…

This police officer is wrong. The manager of the establishment, and actually the guy on duty behind the desk, have the right to refuse service and trespass Rebel News on private property. He needs some re-training and should apologize to these folks.
WATCH: Canadian Tim Hortons manager tries to trepass Rebel News reporter Tamara Ugolini because she was investigating an alleged cash-for-marriage citizenship fraud ...Canadian police WERE NOT HAVING IT.

I am representing a large group of CTV journalists who have expressed deep concerns about what has been happening in the CTV national newsroom. I appreciate the President of Bell Media responding to me, but was a bit surprised to see his letter hit social media before my inbox.
Letter to Paul Champ from Wade Oosterman.
