Once again Paul Stastny speaks his mind about what was wrong with the Jets this season. While he never mentioned any names I can’t help but think he’s talking about Mark Scheifele
In 2011 GM Kevin Cheveldayoff went off the board and made Mark Scheifele the 2.0 Jets first draft pick. In 2015 in his first major trade he acquires Tyler Myers. In 2018 he makes a bigger deal for Paul Stastny. They all scored in GM 7 to send Jets to Western Conference Final.
June 10, 1981 Jets General Manager John Ferguson selected Dale Hawerchuk 1st overall at the NHL Draft in Montreal. Hawerchuk would go on to surpass all expectations and IMO the GOAT of all NHL Jets
Remembering Morris Lukowich and other players as well as the late Don Wittman and Brian Swain on Opening Night for the Winnipeg Jets. As it was 40 Years Ago that the Jets made their NHL debut against the Penguins in Pittsburgh
Seen many Blue Bombers and CFL games in my lifetime and can recall a few where the wind helped decide the outcome. But never have I seen wind and rain suddenly appear in final 30 seconds to help Bombers win 28-27 over Alouettes to clinch first place in West. GOD is a Bomber fan
Very happy for all in Wpg Jets organization but especially for Craig Heisinger. In 1996 he was the Jets Equipment Manager and could have stayed in NHL and go to Phoenix. He chose to stay in his hometown and work for Mark Chipman and the Moose. His dedication is being rewarded.
After a long look at Scheifele hit on Evans. IMO Scheifele wasn’t skating the length of the ice with intent of laying a hit. He starts gliding between the circles then drops shoulder to prepare for a hit on Evans at the blue paint. He doesn’t jump or target Evans’ head......
OTD in Blue Bombers History. July 20, 2006 it was ‘The Catch at Commonwealth’ as @MiltStegallTSN hauled in @qterback5 Kevin Glenn’s Hail Mary pass between two Eskimo DBacks for a 100 yard game winning TD on the final play of the game to beat Edmonton 25-22.
