Amb. @KSzczerski on behalf of 🇵🇱 at #CoSP19: 20 years ago, the 🇺🇳 Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (#CRPD) changed how the 🌐 sees disability. Today, its promise extends beyond disability policy — into development, humanitarian action, peace and security.

20 years after the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (#CRPD), the global disability community gathers again at the 🇺🇳 this week. As is tradition, 🇵🇱 began #CoSP19 with its 🇪🇺 partners at a working breakfast hosted by @CY2026EU.

At the #UNGA debate on the #UNSC annual report, Poland called for more analytical and transparent reporting, as well as a consistent application of Article 27(3) of the UN Charter, to enhance the Security Council’s effectiveness in maintaining international peace and security.

📢 Big news from @PLinUN! Poland has just been elected to the 🇺🇳General Committee for the 81st session, starting in early September. Amb. @KSzczerski will represent Poland as one of the Vice-Presidents of the General Assembly, helping guide the work of this key UN body.

Poland joined 🇷🇴 FM @oana_toiu, who on behalf of a group of states condemned airspace violations by Russian drones over Romania and other European countries - a direct consequence of 🇷🇺 escalating tactics in its attacks against 🇺🇦.
