- Trying to manage and maintain a college wood bat summer league roster is virtually impossible these days.
- Competitive collegiate summer baseball will be dead in 5-10 years. Lots of reasons (some are understandable and make sense, some not), but we can also just call a spade a spade…kids are different these days.
- This is a great read…and 100% accurate. We had 28 different guys get an AB this summer, and 26 different guys log an appearance on the mound. We’ve dramatically overhauled how we recruit in Strasburg now, heavily prioritizing colleges whom we know legitimately value summerParticipation in summer league is dipping.
