    The Police Federation of England & Wales no longer has confidence in the current Home Secretary. The organisation has made a decision to withdraw its support and engagement from the Police Remuneration Review Body, labelling the current pay mechanism ‘not fit for purpose’.

    We are disheartened to hear that three police officers have sensationally been let down by the Crown Prosecution Service. The officers, who were assaulted whilst on duty, had their case thrown out of court due to a shortage of available barristers. This is simply unacceptable.

    PC James Dixon from @ThamesVP heartbreakingly never got to meet his son Parker. ‘Dixie’ was tragically killed in December 2017 in a RTC, but his son beams with pride sharing with us what his daddy did for a living. Stories like this remind us why #NPMD20 is so important.

    The Police Uplift Programme recruiting 20,000 officers only backfills the cut of more than 21,000 FTE officers in 2010. Govt. should release data of FTE officers between 2010 to 2023, instead of net headcount numbers, to avoid misleading people. #FireAndRehire Full statement:
