I understand that the King asked for this poem by @malcolmguite to be read at the Royal Carol Service. It deserves to be read everywhere this Christmas.
Just one little “proud parent” self-indulgent post.
This is our son, N, reading at the Easter Vigil last night. He asked for a photo to go on the @OurCofELike Twitter feed.
I’m sure he wouldn’t object to one or two ‘likes’ 😁
Here is Bishop Mireneza. Bishop of the Amazon. Travels 30 hours to reach some of her worshipping communities. Doesn’t mind the journey time but finds attacks from wild animals and murderous pirates quite a hassle.
Near the end of training a retired priest in ill health gifted me these. We both cried as he blessed me. Me for his kindness & him because his stoles, a long ago ordination gift, would continue in priestly ministry when he couldn't. They mean a great deal to me. #apriestforever
My first duty this week is to be deputy Chief Babysitter to my gorgeous new grandson. His adoption was finalised last week, so excuse me if there is a mixture of Weetabix and tears on this morning’s tweets.
When I was discerning my vocation a wise priest said to me to differentiate between Vicar and priest. He said ‘Thursday is my rest day (not day off) if someone calls and needs a priest, I go. If they call and need a Vicar, he’ll phone back tomorrow’
Just in case you need a warning by the way - tomorrow, my 9 year old is helping me tweet. He wants to share his views on being a clergy kid, and being autistic in the church. Buckle up - he’s got lots of opinions!
Morning! I’m Molly Boot (@MollyBoot1), a first year curate in rural Gloucestershire — it’s lovely to be back here. I think the last time was the week lockdown was announced… no life-shattering national events this week, I hope!
This me collecting my gold Duke of Edinburgh award. My mom part of the Windrush generation was beyond proud to be there when I met the the Duke in the Palace. The scheme gave me opportunities to do things I would never have done.

We can spend the first 16 years of a person's life telling them to be still and not make noise in church, then the rest of their lives wondering why they don't get involved. What if we celebrated movement instead?
Hullo- I’m the Reverend Fergus Butler Gallie. I’m Vicar of Charlbury with Shorthampton in the Diocese of Oxford and am looking forward to sharing the week with you all.
