PSA:
If you are a DO student and anyone is “advising” that you do not need the USMLE they are flat out wrong. Take the test, and keep as many options as possible open no matter what specialty you pursue.
You shouldn’t have to debate or contemplate this, just take both tests.

- Students, if you want to excel on your audition rotations nothing is more important than simply being mentally and physically PRESENT. Show up early. Be attentive and engaged. Stay off your phone. Be the last person to leave. All within your sphere of influence. #Match2024
- Boards becoming P/F is going to make the ortho match rate even scarier. More will apply because they won’t self select out after 2nd year research year is almost a must unless you have significant output / connections during med school The game is changing Will be interesting
- All of these paid “mentorship” subscriptions for medical students popping up on social media are so cringe/predatory. Do not pay for mentorship. They are not your mentor, they are using your anxiety for cash flow and hoping for “mail box money”. Plenty of real mentors out
